Per effetto della rotazione sincrona la Luna mostra sempre la stessa faccia alla Terra, l'altra faccia rimane nascosta, buia, intima. Il tavolo composta da due semicerchi presenta un lato scuro in ferro naturale con un ripiano, l'altro lato chiaro in ferro molato.
